"We couldn't be happier with our new home. Obviously the location is fantastic but the house is what makes it so special. Although it is a brand new home it sits comfortably and appropriately in our period street and is a real asset to the street which is so rare for new houses in period areas. The house is very stylish and luxurious but also very liveable and practical. The attention to detail and all the mod cons makes life very easy."
Ian and Lisa, Camberwell
"This is is a home that is high in quality of thought and materials and craftsmanship (e.g. tuck pointing) and we have bought off this builder before in St Johns Camberwell (at a very competitive auction with 4 bidders at $2.2m against a reserve around $2m and a quote of $1.8m). The flow for me is very good both upstairs and downstairs - I like the bedroom and living separation and while being picky you could argue the rear yard is a trifle small for a big family you have the park across the road as compensation. These sorts of homes have strong interest at a market price and a very basic land ($2.0m) plus home $1.3m says circle $3.3m as your guide but unlike the 2009/2010 Balwyn formula (new home, smaller land, big price) they tend not to well supported above the odds. How much more than market will be determined by the highest buyer's thoughts on emotion and convenience vs. available financial resources. I like this home a lot - it has a real soul about it. Well done to the builder."
Mal James, Buyers Advocate
"A well renovated period property in a quiet Canterbury street. Many bells and whistles here and this is real 'entertainer's' home. Some may find the meals area and rear yard lacking in size - that said this home is built with good quality materials and finishes and the floor plan has great bedroom separation - well suiting an older family."
Adam Woledge Buyers Advocate
"Our 'little project' has made such a difference to the appearance of our garden and how we use it. Our 'bells and whistles' alfresco kitchen built within a period style arbour blends perfectly with our period home and our existing Steve Taylor designed garden and pool.
"Although it was a relatively small project we were still provided with the full service by Anderson Homes. Laurie Anderson was always available and played a hands on role in the design and construction. The workmanship was exemplary and the job was completed on time and on budget."
Paul and Caroline, Deepdene
Our family employed Anderson Homes for a major renovation to our Edwardian home in Elsternwick in 2010. The scope of work included renovation and refurbishment to the period section of the home and a contemporary renovation at the rear of the home including indoor and outdoor areas.
From the outset we were impressed by Anderson Homes’ ability to understand our vision and make constructive recommendations that both enhanced the finished look as well as reducing cost.
When the work was complete, we were completely satisfied with the quality of the workmanship and the reliability of the team. The experience of renovating showed us the value of communication between builder and owner, Laurie was excellent on this.
