Camberwell Custom Home

This home was designed by architect Stephan P Kosa & Associates in collaboration with the clients and Laurie Anderson to bring together a new concept for its owners ensuring that it was in keeping with the Camberwell theme.

The home incorporated solar passive design to ensure as much light would enter the home given its east west orientation. The building process was under the total direction of Laurie Anderson with an extremely tight build schedule.

The clients in conjunction with Laurie Anderson put together the total fittings, fixtures and joinery package after the initial design to deliver a clean, modern and desirable outcome that the clients are now enjoying.

The design of the home was undertaken with the mindset to allow as much controlled natural light into the living spaces as possible to allow the home owners to enjoy both the natural light as well as to obtain the benefits of energy conservation. The formal and informal areas were created to allow a flexible living style whilst having a common link to the alfresco area that integrates both spaces.

The flexible house design allows for the master bedroom to be either located up stairs whilst a young family is growing, an alternative guest bedroom downstairs or the parents’ bedroom downstairs when the children become older.

The utility areas are located conveniently and purposefully to integrate directly with the house and ease of use.

The home was designed with the modernised theme of the current housing stock that within the environs of the area to create harmony within the streetscape.
